The Dreaded Sex Scene: Erotic Writing

Writing sex scenes can be so difficult that some writers just let the lights fade to black or bedroom doors swing shut or, worse, they resort to such tropes as “She clasped his sex” or “She lapped up her muffin.”

We can do better than that—with nouns and verbs that titillate, sensory experiences that inspire literary foreplay, and the confidence to make our readers’ nether regions tingle.

In this workshop we create personal lexicons, explore the erotic through all of our senses, and put our new literary tools to work.

Although this is my most popular workshop, participants typically are quite eager to get home.

Saturday 13 March 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Pacific (7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Eastern)
