Interesting, eh? The incidence of spousal abuse makes the void of local coverage of Domestic Violence Awareness Month all the more dismaying. Other crimes are reported — and commented on with ignorant glee by those who like to blame them on one ethnic group or another — but not domestic violence. Is it denial, avoidance, fear — are they all victims attempting to avoid the next battering?

OK, that last one was ridiculous — just as ridiculous as the lack of reporting on this issue.
