Since you just returned from performing the "dastardly deed", one which fell to me last year at this time and from which I am still recovering, you get to be cynical this Mother's Day! (notice that I capitalized the designation, not daring to deny it its due!) Having spent an interesting day with my cousins yesterday chatting about how I am more like my aunt than my mother and vice versa, wearing my Frida Kahlo earrings and bracelet; my aunt having been more the flamboyant artist, while her sister, my mother, was the ardent homemaker. It was a fabulous day and shall always remain near and dear to my heart, depending upon its focus, which is usually the AAUW Garden Tour. Thank goodness!
