Back to the good with the bad ... a report came out this week that Dubya took the equivalent of one third of his eight years in office off for vacation. Guess he just got the good - out of all of us. Politics … business …. life …. it is all compromise. We all have to take the good with the bad and after the first week for our new President, I think we are still getting more good than bad. Reality? Sure, but having worked for 30 years, I’m disinclined to agree there are jobs for which there’s only a single good candidate. And selectively leaking the abortion rule story? While I continue to have faith in the "Obama Family", I never doubted that Obama will have to compromise his promises with many politicians. Only in this way will he accomplish those things that he deems to be vital! (The question is whether he deems the right things vital) His wife and kids will keep him honest - they don't have to face politics each minute of the day but he will have to face them at the end of every day! Another instrument vital to a man who wishes to achieve brutal honesty is the mirror (...and this is a male advantage). Today males must face the mirror every morning to shave and the desire to use the razor cruelly against themselves, men must eventually compromise with ethics, honesty and correct behavior. (Rouge is not half as dangerous as a razor blade - OK call me a male chauvinist :)) Welcome to Political Reality!
